Ana Vidovic Concert Review
On November, 8 Ana Vidovic appeared in the second concert of the Seattle Classic Guitar Society’s International Concert Series. The large audience enthusiastically welcomed Ana back to the Benaroya Nordstrom Recital Hall after a ten year absence. Her program featured tried and true favorites of the classical guitar repertoire. Her playing throughout the night was technically flawless, with a refined musicality and expressiveness. Croatian born Vidovic is well positioned to serve as an ambassador for the classical guitar. Her international appeal coupled with a warm, inviting stage manner present the classical guitar in a very favorable light. As a member of the younger generation of concert guitarists Ana serves an important role in presenting music from the core repertoire in a convincing and highly polished manner. Ana turned 34 on the day of the concert and after the encore, as a show of their appreciation, the Benaroya crowd sang Happy Birthday to Ana. After the concert Ana greeted many of her fans signing autographs, posing for pictures and answering questions from players and music enthusiasts young and old who were entertained, moved and inspired by the night‘s performance.
