We are delighted to receive two new guitars from Washington luthier Tim Christian. Tim has a background in guitar building and repair going back many years and has just recently gotten back to devoting more time to making guitars. Tim is very knowledgeable about historic building styles from Martin and others and incorporates some of the best ideas from different eras in his guitar design. This 000 model is X-braced with added finger braces outside the upper arms of the X in the style of the Martin De Goni guitar. Most importantly the guitar sounds amazing. The tone is complex with wonderful resonance for either fingerstyle or flatpick style playing. All the aesthetic details and workmanship are first-rate. The French polish finish while not as durable as lacquer, is excellently done and great for the sound. We hope to have an ongoing relationship with Tim and look forward to more great guitars to come.
