Short Scale Concert Guitars

We periodically get requests for higher end short scale guitars but they are often hard to come by. We recently received three lovely guitars with 630 and 610mm scale lengths. The 2020 Okenica is a Stauffer style guitar from Slovakian builder Martin Okenica. It is a 610mm scale guitar that is really fun to play and brings 19th century period music to life in a way that is very different from a modern guitar. We also received two guitar from the Wolfgang Jellinghaus Milestone of Music shop in China. These guitars are Torres reproductions one a 2022 after a 1864 17A style the other 2020 in an 1884 77 style.  The 17A style is 630mm scale with spruce and Indian rosewood and the 77 style is 610mm scale with spruce and maple back and sides. The workmanship on both is outstanding and the sound is very clear and full for a small bodied guitar.
