Okenica 2020 Stauffer-style

This guitar is from Slovakian luthier Martin Okenica. This talented builder makes guitars in early Romantic, Romantic and modern styles after Stauffer, Panorma, Lacote, Hauser, Romanillos and others. This Stauffer-style guitar is 610mm scale with a paddle head peg design rather than the 6 to a side mechanical gears otherwise seen on Stauffer guitars. The workmanship on this guitar is outstanding with beautiful birds eye maple back and sides and a lovely Stauffer-style bridge. The guitar features an adjustable neck that allows for easy action adjustment by the turn of a key. The sound is really beautiful, not like a modern classical guitar but very musical and enjoyable with this guitar’s own voice. 19th century music by the likes of Sor, Carcassi, Giuliani, Carulli, etc. really comes alive with this guitar.
