Rozas Modelo 2a 2006

This guitar is a 2a model from Spanish luthier Ignacio Rozas. This is a big Spanish sounding guitar that is a bit glassier in its overtones than the French polish model Rozas guitars. The sound is in keeping with the Madrid sound similar to some Ramirez 1as. This should be no surprise as Rozas worked in the Ramirez shop from 1959-1969 and the Contreras shop from 1970-1987 before establishing his own shop. This guitar has some repaired back cracks in the Brazilian rosewood that are now structurally sound but show through the finish. It is priced accordingly and quite well for a Spanish guitar of this quality with Brazilian rosewood.
