Maxwell Sipe 2018 SOLD

This is an exciting new guitar from one of our luthier friends, Max Sipe. This guitar is made with all  non-CITES list woods. With increasing restrictions on international shipping of certain tropical hardwoods it is nice to see that professional grade classical guitar can be made with alternative materials.  This guitar is a real beauty, the redwood top has more color and character than what we typically see in cedar. The Claro walnut is just gorgeous with lots of grain figure and lovely coloration. Most importantly, the sound is wonderful – big and powerful with a focused attack, great sustain and beautiful balance.
