Walker Lochsa SOLD
This is a magnificent rosewood dreadnought from master builder John Walker. While loudness is not necessarily the most important criterion for judging a guitar one of the first impressions you get from this guitar is “wow this is loud!” All the construction details of this guitar are first-rate. Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, adirondack spruce top, zipper back strip, holly binding, bound holly under ebony fingerboard, hide glue, etc.
In addition to being loud, this guitar has a beautiful, refined tone. The clarity and cut is remarkable for a rosewood back and sides guitar but the tonal colors are also rich and complex. This is a really versatile guitar that can cut through in a bluegrass band but also sing as a solo fingerstyle guitar.
John Walker has an extensive background in luthiery from Flatiron, Gibson Custom Shop, Tacoma Guitars and Andersen Stringed Instruments.
