Walker Lochsa

Over 2 years ago we commissioned Montana luthier John Walker to build us another Lochsa dreadnought. We have loved all of the guitars John has made for us and so he was front of mind when we recently acquired some very special wood. John’s friend and our neighbor Steve Anderson is well known for his fabulous arch top guitars. When he recently retired we bought some wonderful Adirondack spruce and Brazilian rosewood from him. The Brazilian rosewood was particularly spectacular – an old board with beautiful grain, color and tap tone. The guitar John made for us seriously exceeded expectations for both build quality and sound. The tonal palette and quality of sound are truly exceptional!

John Walker has an extensive background in luthiery from Flatiron, Gibson, Tacoma Guitars and Anderson Stringed Instruments. You won’t find much better!
