Walker Wise River Custom

The Wise River is one of our favorite models from Montana builder John Walker, but this guitar offers something really special. John used a unique tone wood for this guitar called Sacha rosewood (Higuerilla.) The wood has beautiful color and figuring, is light, stiff and is sustainably harvested. The sound is absolutely gorgeous with a wide, full tonal palette but a cut like mahogany. As usual John’s workmanship is truly first-rate. The guitar is  beautiful, perfectly intonated and easy to play.

John Walker works out of a single person shop and has an extensive background in luthiery from Flatiron, Gibson Custom Shop, Tacoma Guitars and Andersen Stringed Instruments.
