Lawrence Smith is building modern guitars in the style of the influential builder Greg Smallman. The top is extremely light and thin, braced with a flexible lattice design. The back is arched Brazilian Rosewood with a construction designed to drive as much vibration as possible to the belly of the top. The guitar is loud with a lot of sustain and power.
