Contreras 1980 SOLD

This is a great Contreras with all the sound you expect from a guitar of this era. The Brazilian rosewood is really wonderful and the spruce top is first quality. The playability is really quite nice for one of these bigger guitars.  The basses are dark and focused the trebles are glassy with a nice attack and sustain. The condition is excellent overall. This guitar was built with an innovative five fan, curved brace design. This fairly open bracing system lends to the beautiful open voice of this guitar.
