Miguel Rodriguez Sr. 1964

Lucky us, we actually have two 1964 Miguel Rodriguez Sr. guitars in our collection. What is interesting about these two guitars are there similarities and differences. Both have that boomy earthy bass that is one of the prime attributesĀ of the Rodriguez sound. The trebles match nicely with an organic yet lyrical sound that you never tire of. The workmanship is, of course, lovely and very honest. The guitar with the clear tap plates and gold plated Fustero tuners had the French polish touched up before we got it. The result seems to be a somewhat heavier sound that has more glassy overtones. The other guitar with the silver plated Fusteros has a lighter woodier sound. Both are a joy to play and are very musical.
